ExpoContratista, The National Hispanic Construction Trade Event, once again united the heartbeat of the U.S. construction workforce at the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Texas, on October 24–25, 2025.

As the largest Hispanic construction trade show in the nation, Expo Contratista stands uniquely apart—designed specifically for Hispanic contractors who form the backbone of the construction industry. Conducted primarily in Spanish, the event offered an accessible, inclusive, and empowering experience for all attendees. Contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and influencers from roofing, electrical, framing, drywall, concrete, and beyond gathered to explore new tools, strengthen partnerships, and elevate their businesses. With hundreds of attendees, dozens of exhibitors, hands-on demonstrations, competitions, and exclusive areas such as the Pink Site and Expo TV, the convention delivered two days of unparalleled learning, networking, and celebration.

At the center of this year’s programming was a powerful one-hour workshop led by Javier Perez, renowned critical injury attorney and beloved community advocate known as “Nuestro Campeón.” Speaking to construction professionals, business owners, employees, and exhibitors, Perez delivered vital guidance regarding risks within the construction industry—covering management practices, workplace policies, insurance essentials, and injury protocols. His session emphasized the pillars of safety, risk mitigation, and employee law, equipping attendees with the knowledge necessary to protect both their teams and their businesses. With a longstanding commitment to empowering the Hispanic community, Javier Perez offered not only legal insights but also a message of empowerment and advocacy for workers across all trades.

His workshop resonated deeply with participants, as Perez addressed the realities many Hispanic contractors and laborers face daily. He underscored the importance of understanding rights, implementing safety procedures, and proactively adopting risk-management strategies that ensure long-term business success. Attendees praised the clarity and relevance of his session, calling it one of the most impactful moments of the expo. As “Nuestro Campeón,” Javier Perez continues to serve as a trusted voice for the Hispanic construction workforce, championing safer practices, equitable workplaces, and stronger legal protections.

Expo Contratista also highlighted its sister organization, Patronas Pink Site—a nonprofit founded in 2022 by Carla Terreros to support women in construction. Patronas-Pink Site offers networking opportunities, education, support, and vital resources aimed at elevating women across all trades. Their presence at the event reinforced a growing movement: building a community where women connect, collaborate, and rise together. As a featured part of the expo, Patronas amplified conversations around leadership, opportunity, and representation. Alongside exhibitors like Owens Corning, Lowe’s, James Hardie, RPA Roofing Supply, Cordeck Building Solutions, Builder Sourcing Corporation, SENCO, and more than forty additional brands, Patronas helped ensure that ExpoContratista remained both comprehensive and inclusive.

The event concluded with the distinguished NAHICA Awards, presented by ExpoContratista founder and National Hispanic Contractors Association president Sergio Terreros. The HISPANICA Awards honored companies, professionals, and projects transforming the construction sector through innovation, leadership, and excellence. This special ceremony celebrated achievement across the industry and inspired attendees to continue raising the bar. As ExpoContratista looks ahead to its next gathering—scheduled for September 11–12, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona—the momentum continues to grow. More than a trade event, Expo Contratista is a national platform for progress, empowerment, and unity within the Latino construction community, strengthening the industry today while building the future of tomorrow.
